GRACE

Julia Johnston wrote this Hymn "Grace Greater Than Our Sin". She was the daughter to a Presbyterian minister, and director of Sunday School for her church for over 40 years. She also was the President of the Presbyterian Missionary Society of Peoria for 20 years. From the children in her care to the mission fields imagine the examples of grace she must have saw. In her "spare time" she wrote over 500 hymns.

"Grace Greater Than All Our Sin"

1.Marvelous Grace of our loving Lord
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt
Yonder on Calvary's mount outpoured
There where the Blood of the Lamb was spilt

2.Sin and despair like the sea waves cold
Threaten the soul with infinite loss
Grace that is greater yes Grace untold
Points to the refuge the mighty Cross

3.Dark is the stain that we cannot hide
What can avail to wash it away
Look there is flowing a crimson tide
Whiter than snow you may be today

4.Marvelous infinite matchless Grace
Freely bestowed on all who believe
You that are longing to see His Face
Will you this moment His Grace receive

Refrain

Grace Grace God's Grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace Grace God's Grace
Grace that is greater than all our sin

This song was sung as the invitaion tonight and I thought it was very fitting and I wanted to share the words with you all. Alan preched tonight "No Wonder They Call It Amazing Grace" out of II Samuel 9 and the grace David bestowed upon Mephibosheth because of his love for Jonathan. What a picture of the grace of God bestowed upon me because of Jesus? I'm than kful for the GRACE Of GOD!
