Well it has been a while since I blogged but the days have been filled with many activities and will be for the next few days. However, my husband and i did get to get away for a few days. We flew to Key West, Florida and got some much need r and r. We really enjoyed all our sightseeing and just spending time together doing whatever we wanted to. Then it was back to the activities for the church and the family. I am on my way this morning to do the last minute grocery shopping, and to get one more stocking stuffer. Then I will try to find time to begin some of my cooking. I probably need to find the time to cook, because we activities starting for brunch in the morning . Merry Christmas

Wisdom-
The definition of wisdom is "The quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight."

Proverbs 2:6 - For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

As I was reading Proverbs 2 today, I was thinking of what is wisdom, and who do I consider wise. The more I thought about it the more I realized it is those people that have a close relationship to the Father. The closer one is to Jesus, the wiser they are. We are reminded in Provers 2:6 that the Lord giveth wisdom, so the more we know about HIM and the closer we will get to Him the wiser we will become.

Proverbs 28:5 ...but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

As I was reading this morning in Proverbs 28, there were a couple of things that spoke to me in this chapter especially the latter part of verse 5 and also verse 13. I am reminded in verse 13 that we can not cover up our sins and except to gain anything. WE will only gain distance from our Heavenly Father and begin a downward spiral away from Him.

Verse 5 was what stuck in my mind and really spoke to me. The more we seek the Lord the more we will understand. But I think Matthew Henry's explanation is far better than what I could say.

" If a man seeks the Lord, it is a good sign that he understands much, and it is a good means of understanding more." Matthew Henry

Lord, Help me draw closer to you and understand you more especially in this Christmas Season.
