I've Been Shopping

I went to CVS this afternoon and purchased M&M's and made money. You ask me how did I do that? Well I am glad you asked. The M&M's were on sale and I had a coupon for $1 off 2 bags, then I had $1 ECB. So my M&M's were $3.39. I got home and looked at my receipt and I had 2, $2 ECB's and not 1 that I was expecting.

We then went on to Hickory to eat supper on a gift certificate that we had. I had a coupon for the restaurant also. We were also were able to stay on our diet. Whew. Supper was $1O for the 2 of us and that included the tip.

Before supper I went to Target while Alan went to Best Buy. I really scored there. My total was $65, and I only paid $15. This is what I purchased.

6 - 32 oz. All Liquid Detergents - 4.94 but they price matched to Big Lots of $2.50 then I had coupons for $3 off 2. So I got the detergent for $1 each.

4 - Nivea Body Washes - $2.99 - Target coupon for $1 off each, and manufacturing coupons for $2 off - so my body wash was FREE.

3 - Reach Access Flosses - $2.29 - $1 coupon each, so this was $1.29 each.

3 -Travel Size Tide Detergents - .97, I had a $1 coupon for each. FREE!!!!

1 - Johnson and Johnson Lotion Travel Size - .97, I had a $1 coupon. FREE!!!

1- Johnson and Johnson Shampoo Travel Size - .97, I had a $1 coupon. FREE!!!

2- Johnson and Johnson Band-Aids Travel Size - .97 each, and I had a $1 coupon for each, FREE!!!

1 - Olay Shower Lotion - $3.99, I had a $1 coupon, $2.99, pricey but I wanted to try this.

This was a savings of 77% not that I am counting. I was so excited with my purchases and I felt like a Proverbs 31 woman by being wise and frugal with our money.

Isn't it great fun getting a bargain? I tell my hubby about shopping: it's not the kill, but the hunt that makes it fun!

Unless I can find a worthy purchase (sale, or coupon item), I rarely buy "it".

I love your methods!
